Tracking Pigeons Form Union

According to Reuters, a flock of pigeons have been fitted with tracking devices to monitor air pollution.

The 20 birds, that are to be released from California in August, are each fitted with a GPS satellite tracking receiver, air pollution sensors and a basic mobile phone.

Although, sources confirm that some of the birds may be denied the mobile phone after it was found they were making personal long-distance calls.

The information collected by the birds is to be sent to scientists who will display the data on a blog in the form of interactive maps.

One of the pigeons, who would only reveal himself as 'squaaaa', spoke to the Far Side.

'Wuaa, aarr, aghh' he said.

Many commentators agree.

The pigeon downtalked plans of a 'winged' union that would exclude the flightless.

Many believe that this may include penguins and quails. The minister for the International Society of Penguins, Pangee, is furious.

The pigeons are allegedly forming the union to oppose industry plans of cutting their crumb and seed portions.

The talks come after rumour of much political unrest in the pigeon senate; situated on platform 7, Central Station.
